KC based get-down music with only one goal: wear out the soles of your dancin' shoes! What began in 2008 as Matthew Dobson's solo comedy project has turned into a full band project, set on having the best time possible, while still making it to bed by 9:00 p.m. 

After the 5 years of performing and recording as that solo acoustic project was over, the full band decided that In 2013 they would head into the studio to record their first full length album. Once the producer and engineer told them that all the songs they had written were already Metallica songs, they began to rewrite everything in a less "get-sued" type of way. Since they had written new songs, they decided to have a show at a local establishment in Joplin where members of the audience were said to have been "mildly entertained." They considered this a huge victory. They played shows all across the Midwest and wrote a five song EP in 2014. After a small break in time, They decided the world could use some more mediocrity in it so they pumped out “In the year 2021” ….. in the year 2021. Still going strong even though most would prefer they don’t, there is no end in sight for MFTB.
